My Beautiful Heather,
Happy 41st Birthday! June 21, 1985 was the day that I was blessed with one of the greatest gifts I could have ever wished for. The day you came into my life and changed it forever.
Not a single day goes by without you crossing my mind, but today, the world feels a little brighter just because you were born on this date. You brought so much magic into this world and I know you are spreading that same joy in Heaven.
I find myself thinking about how you loved to listen to your favorite songs over and over, how you loved your animals, especially your cats, how you loved to make others laugh and oh gosh, your own your infectious laugh. You loved being artistic and making homemade cards for others for every occasion. I cherish all of them.
Even though we are apart, the love I have for you only grows stronger with time. You are forever my beautiful girl, girl and I am so grateful for the time we had together, although it was such a short time. Twenty one years goes by so fast. This year is the 20th birthday that you are not here to celebrate your special day with us.
I will be celebrating you today by sharing memories of you, listening to Drops of Jupiter, wearing purple and watching a video of you. While my heart still aches to hold you, today I have to try to focus on the joy, the light, and the beautiful memories you left behind.
I am sending all my love across the stars to Heaven today. You may be out of sight, but you are never out of my heart. Thank you for the beautiful legacy of love you left behind. I miss you more than words can say. I try to find peace in knowing you are at rest, and I do, but the selfish side of me wants you back so incredibly bad that it hurts.
Hold onto that piece of my heart that you took with you when you were called to Heaven and know that your mama loves you oh so much and that is forever. No amount of time or space between us can ever take that away. You will always be my beautiful Girl, Girl.
Happy Birthday, my Heather, my girl girl, my angel. I love you. 💜
Love,
Mom
